Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to develop an network based Integrated Biosignal Management System(IBMS). The IBMS is a system to mange the medical signals which were measured form each independent medical measurement module such as the patient monitor, the pulse oximeter, the peripheral plethysmography and the biofeedback system. Two middle severs were implemented to collect the information, one from three equipment via multiple serial ports and the other from biofeedback system. The main server and the middle server were joint together to adopt TCP/IP protocol through hub. In the experiment performed in a real clinical setting, our system had satisfied to meet the standard of a real-time signal managing tool.

Key Words: Integrated Biosignal Management System, TCP/IP protocol
